BARISTA OF THE YEAR 2019

The competition format with unique in that it pushed the Barista’s to demonstrate their versatility. In essence it combined elements Latte Art (Baristas had to pour 2 x identical drinks according to a presented photo of latte art). They had to ‘cup’ 4 x triangulations of coffees, spotting the odd one out in each. And lastly, they had to prepare an alcoholic coffee beverage, one which complemented the single origin coffee they used. The audience, the Baristas and especially the judges loved this competition with a difference!
